President Boykin

Message from the President

Reid State has been a vital part of the communities it serves for over 50 years. The College has educated and trained nurses, cosmetologists, business owners, welders and others that continue to thrive in today’s economy.  The College’s training success would not be possible without the support and dedication to continuous learning from the community in which we serve.

Our faculty and staff believe in providing an inviting environment that promotes teaching and learning and student success.  Reid State's workforce development team supports these efforts by implementing apprenticeship and internship opportunities and strengthening business and industry partnerships that provide avenues for seamless transition from training to employment.

I’m honored to serve as the President of this great institution and look forward to the College’s continued growth and expansion of services and programs.

Best Wishes,

Dr. Coretta L. Boykin

President

As summer begins to wind down across Southwest Alabama, a distinct energy takes hold across our campuses in Evergreen, Monroeville and Georgiana. August always brings a sense of renewal, but as we prepare to welcome students for the Fall 2026 semester, that feeling is stronger than ever. Reid State Community College is positioned to embark on what promises to be our most dynamic and impactful academic year yet.
