A national professional trade association has awarded Laushaun Watson, Reid State Community College's Bookstore Manager, a fully funded grant to attend its professional development expo in Phoenix, Arizona, as she continues to expand the college's bookstore offerings.
Reid State Community College welcomed Auburn University head baseball coach Butch Thompson as the keynote speaker for its annual Lions First Pitch Dinner.
The event, held Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, in the Edith A. Gray Library, brought together students, athletes, donors and community members for an evening of fellowship and inspiration.
Reid State Community College announced today that Augusta Watters, Institutional Advancement and Grants Coordinator, has been selected for the Delta Leadership Institute Executive Academy, one of the Delta Regional Authority’s most competitive leadership development programs.
Students attending Reid State Community College will soon have a safer option to navigate Reid State’s main campus and dorm thanks to a generous grant provided by All In Credit Union through its Helping Hands Foundation. The funding will support the launch of a bike checkout program that allows students to borrow bicycles for use on campus and in the immediate surrounding area.
